If you are looking for ideas on how to write a love letter to your boyfriend, keep reading. Writing love letters can be a very romantic thing to do. If you search your heart, it’s really not that hard to do.
Depending on what you want to say to him and how you feel at the moment, your letter can be filled with romantic sentiments. Or, it can be an incredible precursor to an intimate moment between the two of you.
Start by just thinking about what you want to say. If something you think is good pops into your head, grab a pen and some of paper. Write it down so you don’t lose it. Take notes like this until you can make some sense out of them and form the entire letter.
Another idea is to treat your love letters like journal entries. But instead of making it an entry in your journal, just write it on a separate sheet of paper or two. This is a simple trick to help take the pressure off.
Write about how special he makes you feel and how happy you are to be with him. Make him see how in love with him you really are. Don’t feel like what you say will be too sappy. It’s supposed to be that way. It’s a love letter.
If you want to make your love letter really special, go to the local stationary store and buy some nice stationary and envelopes to go with it. They usually come as a set anyway so just pick out a nice one you think he will like.
If you have nice handwriting, write the letter by hand. If you don’t have nice handwriting, type it on the computer and then print it out. Sign it, personally, in your own handwriting.
The tone the letter takes is completely up to you. You can make it funny and light. Or, it can be as serious as you want. And be heavy on the compliments. But, make sure they’re sincere. Boys don’t feel like they get enough compliments. So, make sure you lay those on so he knows he’s a catch.
Be careful, though. If the relationship is relatively new, you don’t want to sound like a stalker and scare him off. So, if you are inspired to write a letter to a brand new boyfriend, keep it light and just say that you are looking forward to getting to know him better, slowly. Don’t ever jump right in to talking about a serious commitment in a new relationship. Otherwise, he will just turn tail and run away from you as fast as he can if he’s not the one for you. (Which actually doesn’t sound that bad. Honestly, it saves times if you scare him off right away….)
Ultimately, it’s best to write a love letter to your boyfriend if you’ve been seeing each other for a while and are comfortable with each other.
